ITS Australia Awards 2015 - Call for Nominations are now open

A celebration of excellence in intelligent transport systems, nominations are now open for the 6th annual ITS Australian National Awards, to be held at the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday 18 November.

A major initiative of ITS Australia, the awards program has been established to recognise professional ITS expertise across the country and to help highlight the contribution impact of ITS technologies on the everyday travellers’journey.

Speaking recently of the Awards, Susan Harris, Chief Executive Officer of ITS Australia said “representingindustry, government and research in the intelligent transport system space, the ITS Australia Awards is a great night that celebrates and recognises Australian organisations as leaders of ITS technologies, products and services.

“For these organisations, gaining recognition within the Australian market and influential industry publications and trade media is just the start towards international acknowledgement.

“Last year’s award winner Intelematics Australia and Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads is testament to this, as the companies have now been put forward to represent Australia at the 2015 ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, France later this year,” Ms Harris said.

Open to intelligent transport system technology researchers, developers, infrastructure providers, manufacturers, developers and young ITS professionals, winning an award in one of five categories is a chance to highlight organisational achievements in transport, safety, environment and community divisions.

Industry Award Winner Intelematics named as Premier Partner for ITS World Congress 2016

Last year’s winnerIntelematics have been named as the Premier Partner for the 23rd annual ITS World Congress, to be held in Melbourne, 10-14 October 2016.

Winning the 2014 Industry Award for the Toyota Connected Vehicle Program, Intelematics will present the project on a global stage at this year’s upcoming ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, France.

Adam Game, Chief Executive Officer, Intelematics said “Winning the Industry Award at last year’s ITS Australia Awards has been a significant milestone for our business. Considering the level of competition that was present, we’re very proud to be recognised with this title, and are honoured to represent Australia later this year at Bordeaux,” Mr Game added.
