University and Students

ITS Australia has engaged with several schools and universities around Australia to encourage young generational thinking and active participation within the rapidly developing intelligent transport systems industry. Competitions and challenges for primary and secondary school students (11 – 16 year olds, boys and girls) along with university level hack-a-thons, app and data challenges, and essay and video competitions are all aimed at stimulating research, creativity and innovation in our next generation.

Students will be onsite during the congress to present interactive hands-on displays and showcases of their projects, and will give presentations sharing their ITS journey.

Attendees are invited to visit the student displays located around the Exhibition Hall and talk to the students about how ITS is being integrated into everyday lives in cities around the world.

Open to Public Days – FREE TO ATTEND
Thursday 13 – Friday 14 October 2016
Teachers, parents, fellow students and friends are also invited to come and visit the student displays during the 2 x Open to Public Days!  Attendance is free if registered in advance, and will also provide free admittance to the huge industry exhibition featuring the latest in developing ITS technologies from around the world, and admittance to the ‘Melbourne Conversation on ITS’ presentations.
